Revealed, 23 Proven Power Charged, Eye Popping Headline Words

Now if that didn’t get your attention then my topic for this month has failed before I’ve even started and I should hang my head in shame.

Headlines are everywhere you look, we read them and listen to them daily.  A good headline makes us stop, think and consider for a moment the possibilities.

The purpose of the headline is to attract your attention first and foremost, and secondly provoke enough curiosity to compel you into reading more of the body content.

Why we read a particular headline and ignore another is all due to the way certain words lure us with the promise of a fantastic solution.  These words trigger an emotional response in us and we surrender to their power every time.

In the list below you’ll find 23 words that are proven attention grabbers that can be used to great effect to capture your customers’ attention.

No doubt you see these words making the daily headline rounds in your inbox, on websites, billboards, in newspapers and magazine covers.  That’s because they work!

Why do headlines with those particular words work so well?

These words work well in headlines because they’re loaded with anticipation and captivate us with power charged expectancy.  They hint at unveiling information to improve our lives in some way.

Let’s dig a little deeper to reveal what’s really behind the eye-popping headline words.

Besides getting our attention and tantalising us with the promise of improving our lives, these 23 proven power packed words also tap into our emotional desires to feed and satisfy our egos.

Why?

Because it all comes to down to the old copywriting rule of “What’s in it for me?”  It’s all about satisfying your customers’ needs.

Next time you’re planning a campaign to attract customers’ attention try one or even two of the 23 proven word combinations in your headline and I’ll guarantee your campaign will get read rather than trashed.

You may have noticed in my newsletter heading I used two of the attention grabbing words “revealed” and “proven” plus one that isn’t on the list but its authority wields such influence it dominates with sheer forcefulness – “power”.

Needless to say that the word “power” with its persuasive potency, is the magic bullet of headline words, that promises to give you something that you’ve lacked until now.   Use it wisely and watch the magic happen!
